Optical Lab & Lens Technologies

We have over 50 years of combined expertise in the optical field.  We are certain to help you find the exact design of prescription lenses required to fulfill your demands at work and for particular hobbies.  Regardless of your unique needs, we will be able to fit you in the best customized eyewear possible.  We strive to stay up-to-date on all the new advances in lens technology.

Our in-house lab is equipped with a state-of-the art Briot Edger which enables our lab technician to manufacture single vision lenses on site. This allows us maintain quality control and to provide our patients with superior finished products in a timely fashion.  We maintain a large inventory of single vision lenses in a variety of lens materials, including high index and polycarbonate lenses each with an anti-reflective finish.

Other Technologies

Anti-Reflective lenses: This lens option will enhance the quality of your vision by reducing glare and lessening the possibility of tired eyes and headaches.  Crizal anti-reflective lenses help to eliminate smudges, scratches, reflection, and the accumulation of dust and water; all of which can obstruct clear vision.  This finish also provides UV-protection with 25 E-SPF.  Visit crizalusa.com for more information.

Polarized lenses & Sunglasses: To provide optimal eye protection from harmful UVA/UVB rays, our optical staff recommends polarized lenses with an anti-reflective treatment to help reduce reflections in your sunwear.  Great for daytime driving, boating and playing sports!

Progressive addition lenses: Progressive lenses allow for clear vision at all ranges, from long distance, to intermediate, to near without lines or disruptions in your vision.  A progressive gives the wearer a smooth transition between all focal points, without compromising clarity and sharpness.  Visit varilux.com to see the designs Varilux offers.

Thinner lenses: Our opticians can provide you with thinner, lighter weight lenses using high-index materials.  This technology minimizes the edge thickness and distortion in vision that a thicker lens can create.  These high-index lenses can allow patients with higher prescriptions broader options when selecting frames.

Transitions: Everyone can experience a life well litTM with lenses that automatically adjust from clear to dark and every shade in between.  Besides enhancing your visual world, Transitions also reduce eye fatigue and strain while blocking 100% of UVA/UVB light.  Visit transitions.com to learn more.
